Mike began his musical career at the age of 5 taking [[Piano]] lessons for 3 years. He then moved on to the [[Clarinet]] until the [[Drums]] came calling at the the age of 12. Mike continued playing [[Drums]] through high school and college, studying with professional session drummer [[Jim Watts]]. It was during this time that he began jamming with local musicians [[Kingsley Murray]] and [[Dino Pepe]]. In the late 80's Kingsley and Mike formed the band [[Stranded]] which lasted less than a year when they hooked up with members of [[Heb 160]] to form the successful [[Ministers Of Persuasion]]. Mike left the band in late 93' due to work. It was during this time that he began jamming with local musicians Kingsley Murray and Dino Pepe. In the late 80's Kingsley and Mike formed the band Stranded which lasted less than a year when they hooked up with members of Heb 160 to form the successful Ministers Of Persuasion. Mike left the band in late 93' due to work. Mike then began playing with blues acts Rough Mix and The Blue Pretenders until 2000 when again work got in the way.
