Local Scene Activity

(missing a lot of information here)

LU Radio (102.7FM) airs a large amount of local music (which is what this bandwiki is all about!) and also regularly sponsors and promotes upcoming shows featuring local bands. Many of the staff and volunteers at LU Radio are also musicians and/or actively involved in the local Thunder Bay music scene. CBC has also occasionally aired music from Thunder Bay with artists like Jean Paul De Roover and Webster Death being featured. 94.3FM (Currently Rock 94) and CKPR (on AM at the time) sponsored the Thunderbands compilations (ie Thunderbands_1991). Rock 94, Magic 99.9 and 105.3 The Giant regularly sponsor and promote bigger upcoming shows in the area and a couple of them have very occasionally aired local bands.
