2009 Spring Petite Fashion Trends
It has always been difficult for the collezione borse gucci petite woman to find clothing that is hip let alone that fits. But the times they are a changing sito gucci borse one skirt at borse vintage gucci a time. TLE, a 4'11" ball of fire, didn't plan on becoming a fashion designer. In fact, she hadn't even picked up a needle in several years when she was going on a trip and needed some new clothes that she picked up the old hobby. To her surprise, everyone loved her new clothes! TLE the fashion designer was born.
She has designed some charming designs. The dresses are stylish and sexy. Her mini "V" dress (which is really a long top you would wear with pants) fits right in with other designers looks in that the bright paisley and the cut of the piece has a quasi peasant look. Her black chiffon top is similar in feel to that introduced by the famous Dries Van Noten at Paris Fashion week but she can have the satisfaction of knowing that her blouse hit the market first. Her steel colored tunic would look especially good with the big necklaces that are in this year as the sleekness of the tunic would keep the necklaces from making the petite woman from looking any shorter.
As I said, her dresses are beautiful. They are flowing like butterflies. But I would like to see some more practical clothing from this designer. TLE certainly has talent; right now she is focusing on "fun wear" and while that is great, women also need clothes for the office and other more serious pursuits.
TLE's designs are sold at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Atlanta, and Lisa Brown in Atlanta. In Tennessee they are sold at the Nashville Clothing Company at Nashville's West End, the Nashville Clothing Company Cool Springs, in Franklin, Sophie's in Chattanooga, and Posh at Northgate Mall in Chattanooga.
Newcomer TLE will have a lot of competition, however from Michael Kors who has introduced a Petites line. Kors, famous for being a judge on "Project Runway", is stepping away from some of the other designers who are using more " borsa gucci rainbow like" colors, for lack of a better word. Instead, Kors is relying on the old standards, black and white, bright red, and bright blue. Kors is also using a lot of polka dots, large stripes, and full skirts. Sure, it's been done before, but it hasn't been done with the Michael Kors touch. And a very nice touch it is, especially for the petite woman.
The Michael Kors line is available at Macy's and Nordstroms.
Ralph Lauren has also been converting some of his line into petites. Lauren, who began his empire in the early 70's, has a long history of success. His spring line is primarily neutral tones: blacks, whites, and beige. However, these clothes are anything but boring! They all have very sleek line that should convert well for the petite woman.
Lauren's line is available at Macy's. It is unclear how much of his line will be converted into petites. However, considering how badly the stores are wanting to sell right now, it might behoove the fashion hungry to head over to Macy's and see if there is any of his fall line left on the racks. The fall line, with it's red, black, green, and orange tones, was simply stunning. Get next year's evening gown now. You won't regret it.
Granted, clothing from the designers discussed here might cost you a bit more than you want to spend. But don't forget what Merrill Streep said in "The borse gucci scontate Devil Wears Prada" regarding knock offs being made from designer clothing. Maybe you can't afford Ralph Lauren. But there maybe some other store that will have an outfit quite similar to his in their store in just a few months.
That's what fashion week is all about.
