Biography
John was the fourth member of the band and was a very welcome addition. Drummers were extremely hard to find at that point in time, especially in Kenora, Ontario and we have always considered ourselves lucky to have such a talented musician in our midst.
John was always a natural spokesman for Satan and the D-Men and could often be found making arrangements for bookings by telephone and taking care of other promotional items including interviews whenever they were necessary. We could always count on Satan John to see to it that there were few if any snags in our booking arrangements.
After the break-up of the band, John re-located to Kenora, his home town and worked for many years with the Canadian Pacific Railway as brakeman and finally, engineer. It was there that he married and raised a family.
He has kept his hand in the music business over the years, has performed with different musicians there and at present, has his own taped music business called Crosstown Music. He is extremely busy taking care of the functions that require excellent entertainment.
John is employed by CJRL Radio 1220 AM in Kenora, pursues his hobby restoring British MG sports cars and has always seen to it that each and every reunion dance there was well-publicized, well-planned and well-attended. All of us have taken the time to thank John a hundred times over for this excellent work.
