Biography
First show: 1994 at Crocks
Story:
I had played many backyard shows and basement performances as well as a few at school talent things and assemblies throughout the 2 years i played with bands prior to my first real "gig" but my first will always remain very clear in my mind.
It was with my old band MOSS ROSE which was myself - Guitar/Vocals, Curtis Mill now of Cerastine Order (sorry Curt) on Bass and Wes Marion on Drums. It was Grunge / Punk deal.
We played at Crocks N Rolls opening for a band called CRASH 13 whom I havent heard even one thing about since this day. It was summer and I was 15 about to turn 16. I couldnt have been more nervous and to boot I had to borrow this guys amp too cause mine was all fucked.
We went on and no one told us how long to play so I was all worried that we were going over time so I kept asking how much time we had left and no one would tell me. I had been going to Crocks for a couple of years prior to playing this show and that made it even more nervous.
We played a few originals, added in half assed covers of Nirvana "breed", Kiss " I wanna rock n roll all nite, Primus "wynona's.." and our own version of "I like to move it move it" which somehow became a fan favourite. After that Harris came up and played a TWICE OVER song with my band and Darren Vaillant singing.
Looking back at the video we werent actually half bad and our 2nd show was with ALL (the descendents) which is a story all in its own. Moss Rose only played like 10 shows or so before becoming Psyco Republic for 2 shows.. oh the olden days.
