The Thorns
Contents
The Thorns were widely considered the top rock and R & B band in Thunder Bay from the mid to late 60's playing covers of the big British Invasion hits from bands like the Rolling Stones, Animals and Van Morrison, R & B hits from the greats like James Brown, as well as top 10 songs. They played at all the top venues in the area, were the opening band for several touring groups including Eric Burdon & The Animals, and were often the headliner at the monthly Bandoramas held at the Ft. William Gardens. The Thorns went through several personnel changes over the years but the musicians were always among the best in the industry. With Brent Draper as lead singer The Thorns always maintained a great sound.
